1. Ken Blankenship is a big physical kid who shows power on both sides of the ball.

   On the mound Ken has shown the ability to pitch. He consistently gets outs with a solid 3 pitch arsenal and an extremely confident mound presence. Ken’s FB holds a high vert 4 seam movement profile in the mid to upper 80’s, top 86.  Possibly his best pitch is a true slider with feel to throw it in any count and hard sharp moment profile, he misses bats often with the SL. His CH is his 3rd option. He kills vertical break and adds horizontal run all while killing velocity on the pitch, making it a solid 3rd option. We see a ton of room to add velocity and athleticism on the mound.

   At the plate Ken is a big body in the box with pull side power to leave any yard in the county. Ken’s powerful frame allows him to generate some bat speed and exit velos consistently in the mid 90’s, Max 97.3.

   Blankenship has already proven he is willing to put in the work. Over his 3 years at OA his work ethic shines bright. Whether in the weight room, cage, or on the mound Ken will not be out worked. The possibilities are endless when there is willingness to work.
